Our approach

Surge Climate Talent (SCT) was established to empower the people and organizations championing the climate movement. Acting as a talent lab, SCT identifies and amplifies the most effective strategies to drive this transition forward.

With the belief that everyone has a role in tackling the climate crisis, SCT operates across three core pillars.

  • The Goal | Ensure organizations have the talent to scale to their impact goals.

    How we do it | By providing opportunities for emerging and/or skilled professionals to enter the climate sector and contribute their talent towards helping nonprofits scale and accelerate their impact.

    How we do it | By enabling pathways for recruiting, skilling (and re-skilling) of the workforce powering the clean energy sector at scale.

    How we do it | By fostering the growth of the talent ecosystem through convening, thought leadership and advising philanthropy, including through:

    1. Managing portfolios and/or advising foundations on talent-related grantmaking

    2. Convening funders around workforce development strategies

    3. Thought Leadership - e.g. The Sustainable Finance Podcast
